Fire Safety Certificate for Russia
This certificate confirms that products meet russian fire safety standards and in some cases is essential to receive GOST-R. Some group of products are a subject of obligatory fire safety certification e.g. cables, carpets, refrigerators, building constructions etc.
Sometimes fire safety certificate is voluntary or is not required. A certification procedure in that case is determined by the State Fire Safety Service after consultation with the State Committee of the Russian Federation for Standardization, Metrology and Certification.
Fire Safety Certificate is a confirmation that production or service meet legally approved regulation of fire safety valid in Russia. Very often that document together with Sanitary-epidemiological certificate are a base to obtain GOST-R certificate and certificate of Russian Gosstroj for building constructions.
Fire Safety Certificate and other required documents are being checked by russian customs officer and commercial inspector. All tests which confirms conformity of the product to the russian standards are made only by a few accredited laboratories.
