Russia is an unique country and has own safety norms. If you plan to cooperate with Russia, you should know and understand the Russian requirements of certification.
Your product should meet Russian standards which are different but usually very similar to the European and International standards. CE self-declaration is not accepted in Russia and cannot replace the Russian certification of Conformity.
Basically, almost all consumer goods require the mandatory certification. It includes all groceries, products for children, perfume and cosmetics, tableware and kitchenware, packaging materials, household and industrial equipment, etc.
